Mediation in the commercial field enables individuals and companies in business to find solutions that take into account their commercial, economic, financial, social, technical, legal and personal context. The goal of any company is to reduce its costs.  Those of civil procedure and arbitration are often disproportionate and do not take into account the indirect though considerable costs of breaking the ties: one should reinvest for finding a new agent, a new provider, a new product or service, another patent or brand, new premises or land, etc.

Preserving contractual relations between companies or working relations within a company meets both economic imperatives and good governance.
